Skiing Made for a Long Monday

Skiing on Sunday was a lot of fun! I did the bunny slope many times then ventured on two other slopes that werent difficult just very long! I did each of those two once and went back tothe bunny slopes. I haven't skied very much inu life but I think I'm ok with being a bunny sloped forever. I can't wait til Kenton is big enough to take. We saw so many kids and they weren'tixj older than Kenton, maybe next year, if not then definitely the following. I fell once after I got off the ski lift for the first time. Then Amy and I got tangled up in each others skis and we both fell getting off the lift. The only time I feel while skiing was o the Salamander which is close to two miles long. I made it ALL the way down then fell when I could see te lodge. I couldnt believe I did the whole thing then blew it t the end. Anyway I think we are going to try to go at least one more time this season.

We got home at about 5:30 then hung out with kenton til he was ready for bed. He was so cuddly that I had a really hard time putting him in his crib that night. Sometimes it really hits me that he's growing up so fast. I hope he wants to cuddle his mama for years to come. Once I made myself put him in his crib I came downstairs and had lots of work to do. I had an IEP to write, papers to grade from the previous week, and I needed to read the discussion posts from my classes. I got all of that done and was in bed by 11:30!

Monday, as usual, I didn't want to get out of bed. The difference was josh didnt either. So we stayed in bed an extra twenty minutes. I blame that on skiing. Monday was long as always buy I got to come straight home after work which was awesome after last week. Josh went to help his dad so Kenton and I ordered pizza and hung out at home! Once he was in bed I had another IEP to write but made it to bed before 11 which is what we usually consider bedtime around here.

I think it was harder for me to get up this morning than it was yesterday. I've been having crazy dreams so I don't feel like I'm sleeping as long. Oh well! I think I'm going to go make a latte and get ready for work. Tonight is homework night for my Math strategies class!! Wish me luck.

Sleeping In!

Kenton went to bed at 8:30 last night and don't get up til 10:30 this morning then he had about a 2 hour nap. Here it is 8:30 and he's about out again! This kid must have been exhausted from his previous week.

He was in a great mood today except for when he didnt get exactly what he wanted exactly when he wanted it.
I got my first assignments finished for my classes, played some jut dance 3 with Amy then we all went to Nanny's birthday party. It was a nice visit and Kenton was in a great mood for all of it!! However, he is still terrified of Baxter. Poor little dog never did anything to him but he's terrified.

Josh and I are skiing with some friends tomorrow so here's to hoping for no injuries! Haha

Short Work Week

Even though it was a four day work week if felt so long!

Tuesday was wild at school because I e as trying to make up for Friday but not get behind on this weeks plans. We had a normal evening at home. Wednesday we went to Clarksburg to help (visit) Papaw. This time Kenton clung to Papaw. He also ate a lot of pizza toppings and then enjoyed some chocolate dunkers! Thursday evening I picked up Kenton and went to my parents house. He was in a bad mood then threw a fit because they didn't have juice. This spiraled into an evening of being in a bad mood. He has started throwing huge fits, which include biting his hands because he's so mad. After dinner we stopped by a birthday party. Kenton clung to me but it was nice to see people that I haven't seen in years!

Today is finally Friday!!!! This week has been wild at school with getting two new students and started to masters classes. This weekend entails two IEPs, homework, and skiing. Tonight I'm debating between nothing or homework?!?

A long weekend of reading...

I love to read but don't do it very often. Now I remember why, when I start I get obsessed and can't put the book down! I'm reading Water for Elephants and I'm really considering taying up tonight to finish it. Now I know that is a terrible idea because I have work tomorrow and it's looking like a busy week and weekend ahead of me. But....

Anyway, Sunday Kenton and I had fun going to Zayden's first birthday party then hanging out at home having McDonalds for dinner while josh was out visiting drew. Today was another day off. I really wish every weekend was at least three days!! We hung out at home played with all of Kenton's toys then while he mapped I read (of course) and played a little just dance 3 with josh. Papaw came over for chicken fajita night. Kenton was pretty clingy but then was sad when Papaw left. He had a late bedtime so I didn't get much reading in. Now I'm off to bed to get back on track tomorrow.

I believ now is an appropriate time to start counting down to Spring Break!!

Mister Seahorse, please!

It's been a nice Saturday, even if Kenton was pretty grumpy. We ha pancakes for breakfast, which Kenton was less than impressed with. For lunch we made him half a grilled cheese, with that he was also less than impressed. He got very grumpy do it was time for a nap. Did that help?! No. He woke up even grumpier. Once we were all ready and the diapers were in the dryer we all went grocery shopping. He fluctuated from very happy to extreme grump while we were there. We came home put things away then I hung out with K while Josh made general tsos chicken. It was really tasty!! A little playing, a short bath, then bedtime. We started reading books like always but Kenton was yelling and hiring the book which is very unusual for him right before bed. Well, he was trying to tell us what book he wanted us to read. He saw Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle and demanded we read that book. Once josh started reading it he laid perfectly still just like every other night. He is so quirky!

We did get some good playing time in and some laughs. We even got he house clean, laundry done, and grocery shopped. Productive day!

Party Animals

We were blessed with a snow day today! Kenon and I hung out at home then Ava came up to play. Josh came home and we had dinner then he went to watch a game with my dad and brother in law. The girls hung out at my house with the babies and played just dance 3! Kenton and Ava even danced, hehe. Now it's 10 o'clock and Kenton is just now in bed! When his cousin is here he just keeps going and going. He really is a good entertainer!

Now I'm going to hang out with the hubs and head to bed. Who knew snow days could be so tiring!?!

Have I mentioned this week that I just cannot get anything accomplished, well I can't. The end!

Driving without a license...

It's no wonder people do it, it is nearly impossible to get all the correct documents together that are required by the DMV just to get (or even renew) your license. Yesterday was a work day so I didn't have to fight bus traffic, I pick Kenton up and we head to Elkins so I can get a WV drivers license. Oh no! I get there, have everything filled out, stand in line with my not so patient 19 month old, just to be denied because I have a copy of marriage license not he original seal! Reall?!?!?! I changed my last name with the GOVERNMENT, I have a social security card with my married last name, I have a current drivers license with my Marie's last name. Why on earth do I even have to have my marriage license. My husband can go get his license without having a marriage license, this made me ridiculously made. The worst part is I had the original at home I just grabbed the other copy!! Now I have to find a day where I can fight the bus traffic, pick up my son, and still get I Elkins before 5!

Anyway, I was fuming on the way home. Then I got us some nice greasy, fattening food from McDonald's, came home, ate, then Ava came up to play with Kenton. It's amazing how babies can make you forget about your bad mood and anger!

I have to finish gettig ready for work now, I just needed to rant!

A weekend off!

Monday and it's my first entry since Thursday. I've been a slacker! Friday I was exhausted from going back to work I ended up crashing shortly after Kenton and sleeping almost as long as he did. Saturday we got ready and headed to Clarksburg. Josh had a massage and I treated myself to a little shopping at Kohl's. I found some really good deals! After that we had chic-fil-a, my favorite, then went to the mall and Dick's. When we got home I had a terrible headache so again I went to bed early.

Sunday we had lunch with most of my family. It was so nice to see them all together on a random day instead of a special occasion! We had a lot of fun playing on Sunday. We bought Kenton a little tent and he loves it!!

Today, just another manic Monday. Work, Walmart, home to fix dinner, did two loads of laundry, played with kenton, and then search for more educational apps on the iPad. I have found some pretty good ones! If you have any you'd like to suggest, please do. If you want some suggestions, let me know! Today, my husband comes home from work looki very guilty holding a GameStop bag. He's been wanting an Xbox to play halo for quite awhile now. He has to want no longer, he treate himself to it today. I'm not complaining though because he got me just Dance 3!

Ok I'm off to sleep now!

Black Eye and a Basketball Game

Today was our first full day back after Christmas break! I had to go pick up some test scores at Wesleyan and I saw two of my favorite professors. Times like that I'm so glad I went to a small school, we chatte and caught up with each other.

I picked Kenton up, we came home, played, had dinner, and went to Gavin's basketball game. He was so good at the game. I was worried he would wanna climb the bleachers but I think he was truly intrigued by the game! We came home played for a few minutes then it was bath time. We went to put his milk in the fridge and he found a bowl of peas and demanded to have some so he ate cold peas from the fridge for a bedtime snack, cracked me up! He took a bath and quickly went to sleep.

Oh yes, the black eye. Well he was sitting in a chair and somehow fell sideways and hit his eye on our ottoman. Most of our ottoman is soft but of course the part he hit is wood. His eye doesn't look too bad tonight but you can definitely tell he has a bruise. We will see what it looks like tomorrow.

I'm off to bed. Tomorrow is Friday!!!

sNOw Snow Day :(

We only got a two hour delay today but it was a nice way to ease back in to work. I got a few things accomplished to get started in classes but I still have several things to do in a very short amount of time!

On to Kenton for the day. It was hard to take him back to the babysitters after being home with him for so long but he did pretty good. We came home and I put him in his crib while I changed and when I came back in he had one leg up on the top rail, yikes! I don't know how much longer he will stay in his crib but I know he's not ready for a toddler bed either. He moves way too much for that. He had some really whiny periods tonight, I think he had a case of the Monday's. However he pulled himself together, had a good bath in which he decided to get out on his own. Then we read some books and he went to sleep very easily!

Now it's late and I'm finishing the biggest loser from last night then going to bed. I'm tired!

Two hour delay turned Snow day!

As I wrapped up last night I mentioned a two hour delay well this morning it turned in to a snow day! I really enjoyed having another at home with Kenton. We just hung out til I had to go to the dentist, he got to go play with is cousin Ava while I did that. Tomorrow we have a two hour delay, sure will be nice to get things on order before the students come. However, I still think teachers should get to go late too. Nobody asked me though!!

I'm going to try to include a picture today because I really love this outfit! So much for that I will have to figure it out another day!

SNOW!

After complaining about not having any snow, it is finally snowing! Yesterday started a new year and it started off wonderfully! New Years day is also my husband's birthday so we celebrated all day. Started off with cinnamon rolls for breakfast then I made cupcakes for the evening celebration. For lunch we had Chinese left overs from New Years Eve. Then our company started coming! We had pizza and subs followed by cupcakes and dirt cake! Many family members were here and Kenton didn't get to bed Gil 10:30. However, he did not sleep in this morning. We had fun playing then he took about a three hour nap, had lunch on the couch, and stayed in our pjs ALL day. Over the past few days I read Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, great book! It's been a wonderful break and so far tomorrow is a two hour delay which doesn't really do anything for me but it will be nice to have a couple hours to get things back in order!

My resolution is to write here more often and read more books. Less television! Let's see how long it lasts!
